From the Inside High School Sports Show, our award-winner for the September 14 show is Emily Deck of Whitesboro girls swimming. Deck ruled on the diving board this week, picking up 221.4 points in the Warriors’ win over Holland Patent on Sept. 9 and, three days later, improving to 235.2 points in a win over Rome Free Academy.Congrats Emily!!!!

RSM Medical Associates Sportsmanship Award for the Sept. 7 Show

Congratulations to Mark Hennings of Poland Boy’s Soccer on winning the RSM Medical Associates Sportsmanship Award on the Inside High School Sports with ESPN’s Mike Bristol. Hennings led the defending Section III Class C champion Tornadoes to a 6-0 romp over Mount Markham on September 3 by scoring three times, half of his team’s output. Overuse Injuries

There are basically two types of injuries: acute injuries and overuse injuries. Acute
injuries are usually the result of a single, traumatic event. Common examples
include wrist fractures, ankle sprains, shoulder dislocations, and hamstring muscle
strain. While overuse injuries are more common in sports than acute injuries, they
